Arsenal are set to sign Balogan on loan in the January transfer window

The Athletic reports that Arsenal have decided to loan out young striker Balogan until the end of the season in the January transfer window.

There are a number of clubs interested in signing the 20-year-old striker, but Balogan has yet to decide which club to move to. Arsenal are set to discuss which team would be best for the player.

However, due to the circumstances of Lazzaz and Ankhitarya, the plan to lease Balogan is not yet 100% clear. Arsene Wenger has been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer.

If Arsenal only sell Lazzarini and Ankhitarya in January, they will keep Balogan at the club.

And in January, Aubameyang is due to travel to Gabon to play in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Arsenal are aiming to sign Balogan on loan, although circumstances will change. Arsenal last summer extended Balogan’s contract until 2025, aiming for the club’s future.

The England Under-21 international has made just two Premier League appearances for Arsenal since making his Premier League debut against Brantford this season.

Balogan has captained Arsenal U23 this season, scoring 12 goals in 12 league appearances.

England Under-21 manager Lecasley has advised Arsenal that he should be loaned out to a club because Balogan is too young.

It remains to be seen whether Balogan will return to Arsenal on loan in January.
